As the name suggests, creator mode is a free upgrade to user profiles designed for users who specialize in content creation. All users can enable creator mode if they choose to.

 On LinkedIn there is a profile setting on your dashboard that can help you grow your reach and influence on LinkedIn that’s the Creator mode. 

You can turn on creator mode to get access to additional tools and features that help you create content and grow your audience base on LinkedIn.

How do I switch to creator mode in LinkedIn?

To turn on creator mode:

  • Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  • Click View Profile.
  • Scroll down to Resources and click on Creator mode: Off. It will make the Creator Mode ON.
  • Click Next on the Creator mode preview pop-up window.
  • Add topics (hashtags) to indicate the topics you post about the most.
  • Click Done.

The Connect button on your profile will change to Follow.

  • When someone sends you a connection request after you turn on Creator mode, they will also follow you while they are waiting for your response. Even If you decline their invitation to connect, they will still follow your posts until they manually unfollow you.
  • You can display the topics you post about in your profile introduction as hashtags. This will make it easier for other LinkedIn members to discover your content and follow you.
  • LinkedIn will highlight your original content on your profile. Your Featured and Activity sections will be moved first on your profile.
  • Also, the Activity section on your profile will no longer include your likes, comments, and other activities. You can still see them by clicking on See all activity.
